The surving bombing suspect has been named as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass, AP reported.
Dzhokhar is the younger brother of 26-year old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was shot and killed in a gun battle with Boston police Thursday night that also ended in the death of an MIT police officer.
Dzhokhar was a registered student at UMass Dartmouth, the university confirmed.
A biology student at UMass Dartmouth described Tsarnaev as "quiet," SouthCoastToday.com reports.
A high school senior named Dzhokhar Tsarnaev won a $2,500 scholarship from the city of Cambridge in 2011, according to a Cambridge government website.
In February 2011, a Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was named Student Athelete Of The Month at a Cambridge school.
The brothers are reportedly of Chechen background, and possibly from Turkey, and have reportedly been here legally.
They are not, as some previously speculated, connected to a missing Brown University student.

It's not clear if the Boston bombing suspect and this Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are the same person.
