The US Military's 'Bath Salts' Prevention Video Is Completely Terrifying

Bath Salts have been making headlines the last couple years. From face eating zombies (later blamed on marijuana) to completely hallucinated police raids, the designer drug has prompted reactions on behalf of the DEA and the military alike.

The military is particularly susceptible to drugs like bath salts because its current drug tests have difficulty detecting the sometimes obscure, rarely uniform cocktail of chemicals contained in the drug — much like the synthetic marijuana, or "spice," craze of 2009.

ABC's Lee Ferran astutely points out that the Navy's new Public Service Announcement is a "disturbing dramatization" — likely aimed at psychologically deterring troops from experimenting with the drug, while in the meantime administrators put into legislation an adequate urine or blood testing apparatus.
